*Thursday, April 18: Holy Thursday - Stations of the Cross performed at 11:00 - 12:00 (primary students Kindergarten-Grade 2) and 1:00 - 2:00 (junior students Grades 3 -6). Students in the Choir are to wear black and will perform for both groups.

Word Wall Words this week:
In Math, students are beginning a new unit on measurement. We measured 100 metres with a trundle wheel and related this distance to a kilometre i.e. we would have to walk this distance 10 times to walk 1 kilometre.
In Language, students are writing a non-fiction brochure for a famous structure that includes:
*Text Features such as Headings and Subheadings and a variety of fonts
*Visual Literacy such as photographs, maps, charts
*Providing opinions and supporting opinions. We have been looking at ways that authors try to persuade an audience, i.e. using famous quotes, tugging at your heart-strings, and using numbers and factual information.
